They are serial award winners in different categories and have a long list of successful projects. 02 Challenge

The Old Website Did Not Reflect Their Principles For Simplicity

When we first met with the client back in Q4 2022, they had a website that was built on WordPress. However, it was not a good fit for their needs and vision. They wanted something minimalistic, and elegant to showcase their professional portfolio. The old website was not intuitive and easy enough for them to use and maintain.

03 Solution

Brand New Website To Reflect Their Brand Identity

Using their neutral color palette and typography, we created a minimalistic design and later built a custom-made website based on that design. The solution includes a CMS which is highly-configurable, yet very straightforward to manage. The images are SGI's most vital assets of their portfolio, so we had to make sure that they are optimized for the web and load fast. Images are lazy-loaded and served through AWS's CloudFront CDN. To complete the user experience, we also implemented a bespoke image gallery that is fully responsive and mobile-friendly. Using state-of-the-art technologies like React.js, GraphQL, Next.js, and Strapi, we were able to deliver a blazingly fast page load.

04 Approach

  • Transparency

    Communication was essential to the success of this project. Starting from the very first design session, up until the release of the website, we never ceased to communicate with SGI. We were always available for questions and clarifications. We had scheduled meetings on a regular basis so that the SGI team is always up-to-date with the current progress.

  • Modernize But Also Preserve

    We created a completely new website with new content structure. However, we couldn't just throw away the old website, as well as the SERP (Search Engine Results Page) rankings that they had. So, we made sure that all previously indexed URLs are redirected to their corresponding pages on the new site.

  • No Extra Elements

    We wanted to keep the design as minimalistic as possible, so we followed SGI's mantra - strive for simplicity, but never at the expense of functionality. No extra elements, no unnecessary animations, no distractions.

  • Headless

    We used Strapi as a headless CMS. It is a very powerful tool that allowed us to create a custom content structure that is tailored to SGI's needs. The CMS has a very user-friendly interface with the ability to create multi-language content entries.

  • 150+ Content Entries In Less Than 2 Weeks

    The CMS is very easy to use and maintain. The SGI team was able to migrate the content entries from the old website in less than 2 weeks.

    The resulting website is a perfect reflection of SGI's brand identity and mindset. It is purpose-driven and provides a seamless user experience.
